On September 6th, SESE held the first Academic Development Forum for Young Teachers at the Minhang Campus. More than 30 young teachers of SESE attended the forum.

Vice secretary Shengbing He analyzed and shared the development path of SESE young teachers from the aspects of faculty structure, representative achievements, and supporting policies.

On behalf of SESE, Dean Yong Geng, and Executive Vice Dean Xinde Cao presented welcome gifts to six new teachers, Yu Xu, Meng Li, Hao Li, Yanfeng Miao, Yuetan Chen, and Hongwei Xiao.

During the forum, 14 young teachers made individual reports, introducing their cutting-edge research achievements and future development directions in the field of environmental science. The atmosphere of the forum was warm, and the participating experts gave full guidance and exchanges to the young teachers.

Yong Geng made a concluding speech. He stressed that young teachers are the main force of higher education and the future of colleges. SESE will further enhance the support for young teachers, strengthen cross cooperation and resource sharing, and provide a good academic environment and support. He hoped that young teachers could firmly establish the rule consciousness, cooperation consciousness, and responsibility consciousness, and make positive contributions to the personnel training and discipline construction of SESE.
